How to Download Aadhaar

Follow the detailed instructions below based on your preferred download method.

Visit the Official UIDAI Website

Open your browser and navigate to the official UIDAI portal. Make sure the URL is correct to avoid phishing sites.

Click on "Download Aadhaar"

On the homepage, find "Download Aadhaar" in the main menu or under "My Aadhaar" section.

Enter Your Aadhaar Number

Select "Aadhaar Number" as your identifier. Enter your 12-digit number carefully. You can also use Virtual ID (VID) for privacy.

Complete the CAPTCHA

Enter the security CAPTCHA. If unclear, click the refresh icon for a new code.

Request & Enter OTP

Click "Send OTP". A 6-digit OTP arrives on your registered mobile (and email if linked). Enter it within 10 minutes.

Download the e-Aadhaar PDF

After OTP verification, click "Download Aadhaar". A password-protected PDF (100–300 KB) downloads to your device.

Open PDF with Password

Open the PDF. Enter password: First 4 letters of name (UPPERCASE) + Birth Year.
